Shop robbed in Bhasantek, guard found dead in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area Star Digital Report Star Digital Report Police recovered the body of a security guard of shops in Dhaka s Bhasantek area this morning after thieves took away some goods from a shop. The body of Sujon Mia, 40, was found in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area with injury in his head and a scarf tied up around his neck, police said. Police suspected that unidentified thieves killed him as he tried to resist them from robbing the shops and dumped the body in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area. Primarily we came to know that Sujan tried to resist when a group of thieves went to steal from the shops in Bhasantek. At one stage, they hit him in the head and took him to their vehicle, Zahirul Islam, a sub-inspector of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station said.

Kajol charged in another DSA case Investigators have brought charges against photojournalist Shafiqul Islam Kajol in another case filed under the Digital Security Act stating that his purpose was to deteriorate law and order through aggressive intimidation and posting defamatory photos and writings on Facebook. Among the 32 accused named in the first information report (FIR) of the case, police found evidence only against Kajol. Bangla daily Manabzamin Editor-in-Chief Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, its staff reporter Al Amin, and 29 others were not named in the charge sheet of the case, filed by ruling Awami League lawmaker (Magura-1) Saifuzzaman Shikhor, as the investigators did not find any evidence against them, according to the police probe report.
