DEMOLISH WITHOUT FAVOUR: In line with the orders of the higher judiciary, an operation against illegal constructions was carried out, but, unfortunately, encroachments can still be seen at various places in Karachi, the economic hub of the country. The demolition should be carried out without fear or favour in the larger interest of the city and its people. Besides, the people who have been left without a roof over their heads must be compensated in the shape of some alternative land for living.

CORRECT NOMENCLATURE: This refers to the article ‘How we learn’ (July 2) which has mentioned a course coordinator who is said to have done MA in Zoology from the Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. If someone has done a masters in Zoology, the degree has to be that of MSc, and not MA, because the subject is part of the faculty of science, not arts.

A HEFTY sum of over a trillion rupees has been earmarked for education collectively in the federal and provincial budgets for 2021-2022 that were announced in June.
