Big Green X On I-90 Hillside Is A Result Of Herbicide Spray – Sheridan Media

Kevin Koile - Sheridan Media X may mark the spot, but you won’t find any buried treasure in one hill along I-90. Recently Bayer Chemical put on a demonstration of rejuvra, which explains the large green “X” on one of the hillsides of I-90 between Acme and Ranchester. Rejuvra is a herbicide that stops cheatgrass and other annual grasses, by breaking the cycle of germination and future seed production and increases forage availability. Andrew Cassiday is the District Conservationist with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. He says as a result of the herbicide, the grass that is not affected becomes more green.

Sheridan County Black Tailed Prairie Dog Management Plan General Notice 2021 Sheridan County Black Tailed Prairie Dog Management Plan General Notice 2021 Wednesday, 14 April 2021 15:13 Pertaining to Nebraska Revised Statute 23-3801 to 23-3810, the Black Tailed Prairie Dog Management Act: The Sheridan County Board of Commissioners has adopted the Sheridan County Black-Tailed Prairie Dog Management Plan to manage black tailed prairie dogs. Notice is hereby given this 14th day of April, 2021, pursuant Nebraska Revised Statute 23-3803 state law specifies the duty of each person who owns or controls land in Sheridan County shall manage black-tailed prairie dogs on such property to prevent the expansion of colonies to adjacent property, if the owner of adjacent property objects to such expansion. 

Sheridan Commission Makes Appointment, Recommendations – Sheridan Media

The appointment will be for a four-year term beginning January 1 st, 2021 through January 1 st, 2025. According to discussions, they had two great interviews for the position. The commission also ratified letters to the State of Wyoming Public Defender to recommend the appointment of Tonia Klepperich and Stacy Kirven as part-time Contract Assistant Public Defenders for the 4 th Judicial District.

Siddle Retained as Sheridan County Commission Chair – Sheridan Media

After the vote, Chairman Siddle thanked the commissioners for their vote of confidence for another year. The commission also voted to approve the reappointment of Andrew Cassiday to the Sheridan County Weed & Pest Control Board for another 4-year term beginning January 1 st, 2021. And finally they announced the closure of the courthouse on Monday, January 18 th for the observance of Wyoming Equality Day.
