Beginning Monday, April 12
th and concluding Wednesday, April 21
st, each candidate will have a meet-and-greet at Kaycee School, participate in a public forum, and tour the building before concluding their day at Buffalo High School with another community forum and school board interview.
On April 12
th, the public and school board will interview Gregory Figenser, currently the curriculum director and trainer at Sweetwater County School District #2 in Green River.
On Monday, April 19th, Keith Harris, assistant superintendent of Dickinson Public Schools in Dickinson, North Dakota will interview for the position.
On Wednesday, April 21
st, the final interview will be with Charles Auzqui, currently the superintendent/K-12 principal at Sheridan County School District #3 in Clearmont.

In a unanimously approved decision during their board retreat on March 13, the Sheridan County School District No. 2 Board of Trustees approved a virtual learning pilot program, scheduled to begin in the fall of 2021.
According to the district, the Board discussed the virtual learning program at three consecutive board meetings, ultimately approving a three year pilot program. Trustees considered extensive input from students, parents, staff, and district leadership before making the decision.
Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Assessment Mitch Craft told listeners of Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, the district will use the remainder of the spring to further develop the program scheduled to begin next fall.
