A roadside worker has died after becoming entangled in the rear wheels of a truck in Sydney s south.
The horrifying incident took place on a roadside worksite on Railway Parade, near Allawah train station around 3:30am on Friday morning.
Police said the 63-year-old asphalt worker was attempting to repair a bob cat bucket when the truck drove forward and crushed him.

Emergency crews arrived on the scene and spent four-and-a-half hours trying to recover the body of the Tregear resident. Sadly the man died at the scene.

Assistance sought to identify girl found in Sydney’s south
Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a girl found in Sydney’s south this afternoon.
A member of the public found the girl, believed to be aged in her early teens, wondering on the road on Station Street, near Rockdale Street, Rockdale, about 5pm (Monday 3 May 2021).
Officers from St George Police Area Command attended and have commenced inquiries to identify her.
She is described as being about 160cm tall, of thin build, with short curly black hair, wearing a pink and white off shoulder dress and no shoes.
Detectives investigating a brawl in Rockdale on the weekend have arrested two further people.
Police were called to a sports field on West Botany Street, Rockdale, just after 5pm on Sunday (25 April 2021), after a brawl broke out between spectators at a soccer match.
When officers from St George Police Area Command and the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS), arrived the crowd started to disperse.
Three men were taken to St George Hospital suffering minor injuries. Police have been told the men were armed with metal star pickets, bricks, flares and plastic crates.
Strike Force Azure was formed to investigate the incident and, following inquiries, a 23-year-old man was charged with being armed with intent to commit indictable offence, and riot.
