Updates after homes were evacuated following serious gas substation blaze near Stapleford

A road has reopened following a large gas substation fire which caused a number of homes to be evacuated near Stapleford.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after the blaze broke out shortly before 6pm on Tuesday (March 16) in Pit Lane, Trowell.
People in the area reported hearing a few loud bangs as the fire broke out, with videos and pictures at the scene showing large flames emanating from the gas substation.
