Law firm partners fired over pro-Trump, pro-police posts, lawsuit says

ST. CLOUD, Minn. (FOX 9) - A lawsuit alleges the president of a St. Cloud-based bankruptcy law firm fired employees he deemed racist due to their pro-Trump and pro-police social media posts.
According to the lawsuit filed in Stearns County District Court, three law partners at Kain and Scott Law Firm are suing president Wesley Scott, of Clear Lake, for wrongful termination, whistleblower protections and defamation, among other things.
The plaintiffs are William Kain, of St. Cloud; Margaret Henehan, of Minneapolis; and Kelsey Quarberg, of St. Louis Park.

Jordan Gumiela of Randall is charged with felony theft in Stearns County District Court.
According to the charges, an employee of Von Hanson s Meats couldn t find the store s cash box upon opening the store on March 3rd. The employee contacted two other co-workers who had closed the store the prior evening and was told they left the cash box inside the store.
Court records show the owner reviewed surveillance video and saw Gumiela use his key to unlock the store, deactivate the alarm with his code, and walk out with the cash box containing $2,922.

A 24-year-old Annandale man is accused of providing heroin laced with fentanyl to an 18-year-old South Haven man who overdosed this spring, according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in Stearns County District Court.
Zachary V. Wolf was charged with one felony count of third-degree murder related to the distribution of a controlled substance.
According to the complaint, law enforcement responded to a report of a dead body at a residence in the 4900 block of Bluehill Circle in South Haven on March 16. The deceased was identified as Landis A. Benton.
