Medical Issue Believed to Be Cause of Stearns County Crash

Stearns County Sheriff s Office (KNSI)  A 42-year-old Albany man was hospitalized after a medical issue behind the wheel caused his car to go off the road and hit a tree in Albany Township Friday night. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says about 9:10; someone called to say there was someone inside a vehicle up against a tree off County Road 10. Police arrived and made contact with the driver, Brian Scott. They say he was very confused regarding his whereabouts and had suffered a medical issue before going off the road. Investigators say Scott was driving south on County Road 10 when he entered the east ditch and struck a tree with the driver’s side front quarter panel of his truck. The truck then continued in the ditch, went over a driveway, and drove for another 15 yards before coming to a rest against a tree.
