(KNSI) – Two people suffered only minor injuries after two gas trucks crashed in Eden Lake Township Monday afternoon.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the crash near the intersection of County Road 34 and Lakewood Road. When they arrived, they found a Lakes Gas propane truck tipped on its side in the intersection. A Paynesville Co-Op gas truck was about 50 yards from the intersection.
The driver of the Paynesville truck, 64-year-old Robert Block, told deputies he was going west on County Road 34 when he saw the Lakes Gas truck approaching the intersection. He said the Lakes Gas truck slowly entered the intersection as he was driving past Lakewood Road, which is where the two crashed.

(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says more than three dozen minor consumption tickets were handed out at the Horseshoe Bar in Spring Hill after several people were reportedly inside past bar close and drinking underage.
Deputies were conducting a bar check at about 11:40 p.m. on February 19th after getting information and several complaints about people under the age of 21 frequenting the bar and drinking alcohol. Once inside, they say they walked in to see about 50 people, and the vast majority appeared to be underage. Police say additional suspicion was raised due to the “quick departure of several younger patrons” as deputies entered. The current executive order says bars and restaurants must close to in-person service at 11:00 p.m.

(KNSI) – The cause of a house fire Saturday night is under investigation.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says a passerby noticed a house on fire about two miles west of Spring Hill near Elrosa about 11:15. The person was knocking on the doors of the house and called 911.
When help arrived, flames were shooting through the roof of the home. Deputies tried putting out some flames near the roofline but realized they had spread throughout the interior of the home. Members of the Elrosa Fire Department were also on scene.
The homeowners say they had just bought the house and were about to do some renovations on it. It was empty when the fire broke out. According to a press release, the damage estimate is unknown, but it’s reportedly “significant.”
