A Stearns County SWAT team was used to arrest a 35-year-old man Thursday, Jan. 28, at his apartment in Holdingford, Minn., following a chase in a stolen vehicle. The man, who is in custody in the Stearns County Jail, currently faces charges of burglary, criminal damage to property and fleeing a peace officer.

(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is releasing more information about a situation in Holdingford that caused a nearby school to go into lockdown Thursday morning.
Police say, at 6:58 a.m., they received a report of a burglary that had just happened. They say the victim discovered a man had broken into his garage and stole several tools, which he loaded into a truck. The victim confronted the burglar, who allegedly had a knife. The victim says he was punched in the face several times before the man fled the scene in a white pickup truck.
That truck was found in the area of County Road 17 east of Highway 238 in Krain Township, and when a deputy tried to pull the driver over, they say he initially complied but then took off, forcing another vehicle off the road and into the ditch. They say the suspect then continued to drive eastbound on County Road 17 toward Holdingford.

A 36-year-old Holdingford man has been arrested, suspected of stealing vehicles and tools, punching a victim in the face several times, and fleeing law enforcement Thursday morning in Stearns County.
According to the Stearns County Sheriff s Office, deputies arrested the suspect around 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, with the help of a SWAT team and K9 after the suspect wouldn t respond to verbal commands.
His arrest ended an hours-long crime spree, with the sheriff s office noting a victim called 911 at 6:58 a.m. on Thursday saying a man with a knife had just stolen tools from his garage and loaded them in a white pickup truck. When the victim tried to confront the suspect, he punched him in the face several times and then fled in the truck, the victim said.

The sheriff s office said at about 6:58 a.m., the Stearns County 911 Communications Center received a report of a burglary that had just occurred. The victim said he discovered a man who had broken into his garage and stolen several of his tools which he loaded into a white truck. The victim said he confronted the man, who claimed he had a knife, and then punched the victim several times in the face.
The suspect fled the scene in a white Chevrolet pickup truck.

(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the teenager who walked away from her parents’ home in St. Cloud earlier this month has been found.
Officials say Alexus Rayne Norberg left home without her parents’ permission on January 19th and hadn’t been seen or heard from since. She was found safe late Wednesday night.
The sheriff’s office says the notice about her disappearance was shared hundreds of times, which they say was “wonderful and helpful.”
