Many of us thought this matter was decided at the polls in August 2020, when voters statewide amended the state constitution in order to expand Medicaid. Instead, it will be decided in the courts. I would think that those doing a brazen legal dodge might want to soften their language. Not so for State Sen. Eric Burlison, a Republican who represents District 20, which covers Christian County and part of Greene County. Burlison has told the News-Leader: I philosophically am not in favor of shifting more people from the producer category to the moocher category, the dependent-on-government category.
