Siemens helps to develop future engineering students in Vietnam
(CPV) - The official launch of Siemens Automation Training and Technology Transfer Center, and the handover ceremony of Siemens’ sponsoring package to Can Tho University took place in Can Tho today as part of Siemens’ strong commitment to further supporting the engineering education in Vietnam.

The package includes hardware and software grant with a total commercial value of about VND3.5 billion provided to set up a digital training and technology transfer center at Can Tho University, that will support the University in fulfilling their important role as the biggest education, training and research center in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam, as well as offer students the best practical exposure to the world’s state-of-the-art technology, thus enabling them to acquire useful knowledge and skills for their future career development.

Several universities in Hanoi have applied tighter measures on COVID-19 prevention and control in addition to allowing students to begin their Lunar New Year holiday a week early amid continuous reports of new community cases of the viral disease in northern localities.
Students at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) will begin their Lunar New Year, or Tet, holiday on February 1, a week earlier than scheduled.
While HUST decided to delay schedules for thesis and dissertation defense set for after January 31 until further notice, it continues with the same plans arranged for between Friday and January 31.

The US’s experience in environmental management and air quality control in Vietnam were touched upon at a seminar in Hanoi on January 25.
Hanoi suffers bad air quality recently.
The event, themed “Solving the air quality crisis: from the US to Vietnam,” was jointly held by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), the environmental protection agency under the Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and Live & Learn Centre.
Dr. Le Bich Thuy from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology pointed out the harmful impact of air pollution on human health and life, and called for joint efforts to find suitable measures to tackle the problem.
