Updated: 5:21 PM EDT Apr 22, 2021 WLWT Digital Staff WLWT Digital Staff A 4-year-old girl has died days after an alleged assault apparently punched and choked more than a week ago.Nahla Miller, 4, has died of an apparent homicide, officials with the Hamilton County Coroner s Office said Thursday.The Springfield Township girl died Wednesday at Cincinnati Children s Hospital, where she had been hospitalized since April 13, the coroner states.According to court documents, Tianna Robinson, 25, the child s mother, was initially charged with two counts of felonious assault in connection to the 4-year-old s beating.Documents state that Robinson punched the 4-year-old child, before strangling her till she stopped breathing. It happened at a home in the 1600 block of Hudepohl Lane, officials said. Crews arriving on the scene found the 4-year-old girl unresponsive and not breathing. Nahla Miller died Wednesday at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, a coroner’s report shows. According to the prosecutor, Miller was removed from life support Wednesday and passed away. Court documents say Tianna Robinson, the girl’s mother, was arrested on April 13 for allegedly punching and strangling the 4-year-old.

Father sentenced to prison for death of child who ingested fentanyl

A Walnut Hills man has been sentenced to five years in prison for his child s death from ingesting fentanyl, court documents state.  Charles Douglas Foggie Jr., 26, pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of involuntary manslaughter in March, according to documents filed in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court.  Foggie was sentenced this month to three years in prison for the involuntary manslaughter charge, which will run consecutively, with a two-year sentence for another charge that was filed against him in 2017, documents show.  His son, 18-month-old Brayden Foggie, died in October of 2019 at Cincinnati Children s Hospital Medical Center, according to the Hamilton County Coroner s Office.
