Anthony Pecord, who has since resigned from the department, used an “intoxicant” to impair the victim’s ability to consent on Jan. 24, the documents explain. The next day, a memo from Police Chief Dennis Sean Rahe said Pecord was informed of “a formal investigation into allegations involving you related to a claim of sexual assault.”

Police search French Park after report of shots fired

French Park in Amberley Village was temporarily closed Wednesday while police searched for signs of a shooting, officials said. Amberley Village Police responded to the park at around 1 p.m. Wednesday for a report of two shots fired. French Park is a City of Cincinnati park, located in Amberley s jurisdiction. Police say the park was temporarily closed as a precaution. Officers searched on the ground and from the air with the support of the Hamilton County Sheriff s Office s helicopter.  No one was located with a firearm and no one was injured, according to Cincinnati Police. The search was completed and French Park has since reopened to the public, police said at around 4:45 p.m.
