Dozens rescued in apartment complex fire after heroics from Champions Fire, HCSO article
HARRIS COUNTY - One Champions ESD Department firefighter and two Harris County Sheriff s Office deputies were injured during an apartment fire rescue in North Harris County.
Emergency crews responded to the Providence Champions Apartments on the 5100 block of FM-1960 near Champions Forest Drive around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24.
When they arrived they discovered that an automobile that caught fire extended to an apartment complex.
An exact count is unknown at this time, but they believe that more than 20 units were damaged in the blaze.
Two Houston County Sheriff s Office deputies were transported for smoke inhalation.

KATY, Texas - A father and daughter were taken to the hospital in critical condition after firefighters rescued them from a burning home in the Katy area, officials say.
The Cy-Fair Fire Department arrived at a house fire in the 21000 block of Wellsford Glen Drive around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday. Fire was coming from the home s garage.
The fire department says one woman was already outside of the home, but firefighters learned two other people were still inside.

Northwest Harris County neighbors noticed a garage fire at a home in the 21500 block of Wellsford Glen Dr. before 11 p.m. Wednesday and called 911.

13 residents were displaced from 7 apartment units, the 8th unit was vacant. @hcfmo is investigating.
The @RedCrossTXGC is providing assisting to the displaced families.
Crews were alerted to the apartment fire in the 6400 block of York Meadows on Sunday evening, according to the Cy-Fair Fire Department.
Firefighters worked to put out the flames and smoke that was coming from the roof of the building, authorities said.
