HOUSTON A man is seeking $1 million in damages after allegedly slipping and falling on a slippery floor at a Houston Kroger.
Gary Ferguson filed a complaint May 3 in Harris County District Court against Kroger Texas LP doing business as Kroger Houston 392, The Kroger Co doing buisness as Kroger Houston 392, Kroger Houston 392 and Philip Ingram alleging premises liability and negligence.
Ferguson alleges that he was at a Houston Kroger on Oct. 15, 2019, when he slipped and fell on a slippery substance on the floor and suffered injuries. He claims he has suffered physical impairment, disability, lost earnings as well as incurred medical care expenses.
HOUSTON A man who slipped on a piece of broken glass on the floor at a Houston restaurant and suffered serious injuries is claiming negligence.
Barry Esene filed a complaint May 6 in Harris County District Court against Bisou River Oaks District LP known as Bisou alleging negligence.
Esene claims that while at the Bisou restaurant on Westheimer Road in Houston on May 25, 2019, he was injured due to a large piece of broken glass that was on the walkway. Esene alleges in his complaint that he suffered grievous injuries including a facial laceration, broken nose, fractured eye lids, head and hand injuries, chest and shoulder pain, sore lips as well as anxiety.
HOUSTON A woman who slipped and fell on spilled laundry soap at a Houston Family Dollar and suffered serious injuries is claiming negligence.
Rosa Almanza filed a complaint May 5 in Harris County District Court against Family Dollar Stores of Texas LLC alleging premises liability and negligence.
Almanza was shopping at the Family Dollar on Broadway in Houston on June 14, 2019, according to her suit. She alleges she slipped and fell on laundry detergent soap that had spilled on the floor and suffered injuries. Almanza claims the area where she fell was in unreasonably dangerous condition and the store failed to remove, clean, and/or warn of the hazard.
HOUSTON Chevron, GE, Goodyear and several others who produce and sell asbestos-containing materials is facing a suit alleging an oil drilling worker died from his exposure to their products.
Doris Clevenger, spouse, individually and as personal representative of the Estate of Bobby Lee Clevenger, Amy Lee White and Steven Clevenger, children filed a complaint May 6 in Harris County District Court against American Clutch & Equipment Company, Chevron Phillips Chemical Company doing business as CP Chemical Company LLC, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and others.
According to the plaintiffs complaint, Bobby Lee Clevenger worked at various oil drilling sites in San Angelo and the surrounding areas. They allege that Clevenger was exposed to asbestos-containing products that were produced or sold by the defendants and that he inhaled great quantities of asbestos fibers.
HOUSTON A man claims he slipped and fell at a Houston Kohl s store and suffered serious injuries.
Celida Rodriguez filed a complaint May 3 in Harris County District Court against Kohl s Department Stores Inc., doing business as Kohl s Store #544 alleging negligence.
Rodriguez claims in his suit that he was at the Kohl s on Barker Cypress Road in Houston on July 13, 2019. He alleges that as he was walking on the premises, he slipped and fell due to a slippery substance on the floor and suffered serious injuries.
Rodriguez further alleges that he also lost wages and incurred medical expenses as a result of his slip and fall. He claims that at least one of Kohl s employees was aware of the dangerous condition on the floor and failed to warn of the hazard. Rodriguez also claims Kohl s failed to maintain its store in a safe manner.
