Body found in trunk during North Carolina traffic stop

ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. Four North Carolina men are facing charges after a police officer who pulled their car over for speeding found a body in the trunk.
The Halifax County Sheriff s Office said a Roanoke Rapids police officer stopped the car around 1 a.m. Monday.
Authorities said the officer found the body of 23-year-old Trevon Quantavius Fields of Roanoke Rapids in the trunk of the car.
Ralik Robinson, 22, Trevathann Myquan Shearin, 20, and Shantron Avondre Person, 20 all of Roanoke Rapids, and Deluntae Jaequon Squire, 23, of Halifax, were all arrested and charged with murder.

The Halifax County Sheriffâs Office is still searching for missing person Lacy Bunch, 72, according to a press release received Tuesday afternoon.
âWe have conducted extensive searches in the area to no avail,â said Chief Deputy Scott Hall. âWe ask that if anyone has any information concerning Mr. Bunchâs wherea- bouts to call the Halifax County Sheriffâs office at 252-583-8201.â
As previously reported, the sheriffâs office responded to a report of a missing person at about 7 a.m. Sunday. Bunch was last seen in the 500 block of Bell Street in Enfield.
Bunch is an African-American male, 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, slim build, short red hair, brown eyes and a light brown skin complexion.
