A Georgetown man faces burglary charges after police say he stole items from parked cars April 22 and resisted arrest.
Police responded to a home at 9:35 p.m. on Farm Lane after a woman said an unknown man was on her property removing items from her car, said Master Cpl. Heather Pepper of the Delaware State Police.
The woman told police that the man had knocked on her front door, but she did not open it because she did not recognize him. Pepper said the woman asked who it was but he did not respond. The woman told the man to leave her property and he poured a liquid substance on her front step before walking toward her parked vehicles, Pepper said. The woman said she fired off a shot from her handgun, but it did not scare off the man.
