Hendersonville woman charged in stabbing death of 5-year-old daughter

A Hendersonville woman has been charged in the stabbing death of her 5-year-old daughter Sunday morning, the Henderson County Sheriff s Office said.
At about 8:43 a.m., officers with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a report of a stabbing at 265 Fiesta Lane in the Fruitland community.
Officers and emergency personnel arrived to find that the child had succumbed to her injuries, the Sheriff s Office said in a news release.
After an investigation, it was determined the suspect was the child s mother, the release states.
Penny Short Hartle, 50, has been charged with second-degree murder. She received no bond and will have a first appearance on Monday, April 26.

The sheriff s office received a report of the runaway from a group home in the Middle Fork Road area of Bat Cave. The boy, Ross Dildine, was wearing a blue hoodie style sweatshirt, dark colored shorts and blue sneakers and was carrying a black backpack. HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) Authorities charged a North Carolina woman with murder Sunday in the stabbing death of her 5-year-old daughter.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that deputies were called to a residence at about 8:43 a.m. Sunday for a report of a stabbing. When deputies and emergency personnel arrived, they determined that the girl had died of stab wounds.
Penny Short Hartle, 50, was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree murder. Hartle did not receive bond and is scheduled to have her first appearance in court on Monday.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - One man is in jail on drug charges after authorities were in the area for a shots fired call in Henderson.
Authorities say they were on Green River Road around 1:15 Sunday morning.
According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy noticed a vehicle driving down the road towards the officers, stopping close to the cruiser. That’s when authorities say the deputy approached the vehicle to see if they needed assistance or aid.
