HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A Florida man stole an ambulance from a hospital while first responders were assisting a patient but got the vehicle stuck in sand and mud, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
Records show the Hernando County Fire & Emergency Services ambulance was parked in the ambulance bay at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville on Sunday around 12:30 p.m. while paramedics were inside the hospital dropping off a patient.

A man in Hernando County, Florida is accused of stealing an ambulance, and getting it stuck in mud. We’re no experts in committing grand theft auto, but we’re pretty sure that could have gone way better.
Trey Allen Cornwell, 29, was arrested Sunday, authorities say.
According to deputies, the ambulance crew was inside the Oak Hill Hospital to drop off a patient. It was 12:27 p.m. Cornwell allegedly used this time to make off with the vehicle, which is owned by the Hernando County Fire & Emergency Services.

OAK HILL, Fla. â A man was arrested for stealing an ambulance on Sunday, the sheriff s office said.
The Hernando County Sheriff s Office said the ambulance owned by Hernando County Fire & Emergency Services was taken at 12:27 p.m. from Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville.
The ambulance crew was inside the hospital dropping off a patient when the ambulance was stolen.
The suspect was later identified as Trey Cornwell. The sheriff s office said he drove the ambulance to the Kass Circle area off Port of Court.

SPRING HILL, Fla. â Crews from Hernando County Fire & Emergency Services responded to several brush fires Monday afternoon.
Crews received a call around 2 p.m. regarding three individual fires totaling about 5 acres.
The brush fires were located along Barclay Avenue between San Antonio Road and Lawrence Street, according to officials.
It took firefighters about three hours to extinguish the flames.
Cristelle Osborne, church secretary and pastor s wife at Berean Assembly, said the flames were visible once she stepped outside.
