Deputies rescue woman who is paralyzed from burning home
The woman called 911 and said she was trapped in her room alone and it was on fire.

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. A woman who is paralyzed was rescued from a home in Brooksville as it burned, according to the Hernando County Sheriff s Office.
Investigators said the 63-year-old woman called 911 to report her oxygen hose caught on fire while she was smoking in bed and that it had ignited her bedroom.
The woman said she was home alone and trapped in her room, according to the sheriff s office. Investigators say she told them she had been burned by the fire.
Four deputies rushed to pull a paralyzed Florida woman out of the burning bedroom where she was trapped amid flames. She was smoking in bed when her oxygen hose ignited.

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - For four decades, the people responsible for a gruesome double-homicide in Hernando County have walked free. Loved ones are haunted by the murders, and frustrated with the lack of answers.

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. Three men were arrested after they went out for a fishing trip in a stolen boat, according to the Hernando County Sheriff s Office.
Deputies say on the morning of May 5, they got a call from a woman who believed she spotted her boat on a lake near Tilly Hawk Lane in Brooksville.

BROOKSVILLE, Fla. - Hernando County deputies arrested Jim Leasure, Richard Morgan Sr. and Darren Morgan after they say the men were fishing from a stolen boat on a lake near the victim s home.
According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, a woman said her 2017 Tracker Topper jon boat was stolen from her backyard on March 5.
She called HCSO on May 5 because she believed she saw her stolen boat out on a lake near her home.
