Phnom Penh (VNA) – The first rice packages to help Vietnamese-Cambodian families living in
areas under lockdown to curb the spread of
COVID-19, arrived in Preah Sihanouk
city of the province of the same name on April 25.
The Cambodian province
has been put under a lockdown since April 23 in an attempt to contain the
spread of COVID-19 in the community.
President of the
Khmer-Vietnam association in Preah Sihanouk Tran Van Nam earlier informed the
Vietnamese Consulate General in the Cambodian province that many
Vietnamese-Cambodians in Tumnup Rolok are facing food shortage. The residential

Hanoi (VNA) - The
northern province of Bac Giang has set a goal of raising its rate
of skilled workers to 80 percent and the rate of those with training
certificates to 27 percent by 2025.
During the
2021-2025 period, vocational training establishments in the province will
provide training to 147,500 workers. The rate of university graduates gaining
employment after they complete their studies is to reach more than 90 percent.
To meet these
goals, Bac Giang is focusing on planning vocational training establishments in
an open and flexible manner, ensuring the scale and structure of professions being
offered. The province will also continue to review and arrange public colleges and

A young Mong ethnic minority man has become the first person in his community to earn a master s degree.

Giang Seo Chau made great efforts in his studies to become the first master s degree holder in Si Ma Cai District, the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, and help his community develop the household economy.
The 35-year-old was born and nurtured in a poor farming family of six children in Man Than Commune, Si Ma Cai District.
The Vietnamese
Party, State and people keep a close watch on the COVID-19 situation in Cambodia
and wish to share the difficulties facing the country, Tang said at the
hand-over ceremony.
He expressed his belief
that under the leadership of Cambodian People s Party President and Prime Minister Hun Sen and with the solidarity of
Cambodians and support of international friends,
Cambodia will soon contain the
pandemic.
With this assistance,
together with another aid package of 200,000 USD from the Vietnamese
Government, which was granted to Cambodia earlier, Vietnam hopes to join the anti-
COVID-19
efforts of the Cambodian Government and people, he said.
