Mary Bastien, RYT and Rain Magyar started Open Space Yoga November of 2004 on Maunakea Street in Hawaii’s historical Chinatown.
They both saw Chinatown as not only a cultural melting pot, but as a developing neighborhood filling with new art galleries and boutiques.
Open Space Yoga has now moved over to Nu’uanu Avenue on the second floor of the Perry Block building, built over a 100 years ago.
There is an art lounge with a rotating art show each month and one room for yoga practice.
OSY also has a second location near Diamond Head and Waikiki.
