By Kathi O'Shea March 9, 2021 7:42 am BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Another major airline is planning flights to Bellingham International Airport. The Port of Bellingham says they’ve reached agreement with Southwest Airlines to begin offering flights to and from Bellingham in the second half of this year. Aviation Director Sunil Harman says travelers from Bellingham will have even more destinations to choose from. Southwest has not announced start dates or routes from Bellingham. Harman says the resumption of cross-border travel is key to when the airline will begin to offer service here. Allegiant and Alaska Airlines are the other two commercial carriers that serve Bellingham’s airport.
