A chartered plane arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday with more than 1.5 million doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine from the COVAX Facility.

Donated by the United States, the 1,500,100 doses of the vaccine come to Sri Lanka under the dose-sharing mechanism of the COVAX facility to promote equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines across the globe.
