10 doctors, 2 nurses get 1st Covid-19 vaccine doses in Negro

TEN doctors and two nurses from what is called the "Big Four" hospitals in Negros Occidental were the first to get the Sinovac Covid-19 in the province, an official said.
"It was fantastic and touching to see," said Vaccination Testing Czar Vince Dizon, who witnessed the ceremonial vaccination at Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City Tursday, March 11, 2021.
He was joined by Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, former congressman and Provincial Consultant Alfredo Benitez, House Minority Leader Stephen Paduano and Silay City Mayor Mark Andrew Golez.
The 12 individuals who were vaccinated Thursday were doctors from Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital, namely Dr. Mary Ann Maestral, chief of clinics; Dr. Glenn Rivera, chair of the Department of Medicine; Dr. Francis Gabriel Relota, medical specialist II, Hospital Safety Committee chair; Dr. Geno Dominic Alojado, Infection Control Committee chair; Dr. Jean Alojado, Department of Pediatrics; Ma. Maricel Judith, chief nurse; and Kristine Kaye Necir, medical technologist.
