The Paris Building, with an address of 2814 12th Ave. S., was the first of 11 buildings 1221 Partners purchased over a period of years to help jumpstart the 12South business district. The limited liability company, co-owned by Mark Deutschmann, Joel Solomon and other unnamed partners, paid $150,000 for the building in 1994, according to Metro records. The Post reported in January 2019 the property was offered for sale for $5.5 million. The site totals 0.64 acres (27,878 square feet) and includes the two-story Paris Building and property at the building's rear. The building, painted in a color that suggests a combination of blue-purple-gray, sports an eye-catching mural and a traditional symmetry not found in most contemporary commercial buildings.
