One man was arrested Sunday and police are searching for at least three others they suspect were involved in a drive-by shooting that killed a 13-year-old North Carolina girl who was struck by a bullet as she sat at an outdoor picnic table with other children, police said.

The child, whose name was not immediately released, was shot around 8 p.m. on Saturday in the Charlotte suburb of Monroe, a town of about 36,000 people, according to police.
