Arrests Down Slightly During St. Patrick’s Day Enforcement April 1, 2021 5:12 am Saga Communications Spencer, IA (KICD)– It has been about two weeks since the Iowa State Patrol and local law enforcement agencies partnered up for an enhancement project for St. Patrick’s Day and the results are in. Trooper Kevin Krull tells KICD New there were some arrests during the project, but the timing of the holiday may have helped out a little bit. Trooper Krull also took some time during our conversation to thank those that were NOT involved in any incidents. The Iowa State Patrol continues to aim for 300 or less fatalities on roads across the state in 2021 and Trooper Krull says that all begins with slowing down, putting on a seat belt and putting away any device or item that could cause a distraction.
