Legislators Working to Remove Iowa’s Front License Plate Requirement By charguth February 13, 2021 5:20 am clipart.com Des Moines, IA (Radio Iowa)– Two Iowa senators are working on a bill that would bring Iowa front license plate requirement to an end. The owner’s of sports cars and vehicles with large front grills have complained that license plates ruin the appearance of the vehicle according to Brad Epperly, a lobbyist for the Iowa Automobile Dealers Association. On the other side of the argument is Iowa State Patrol Captain Mark Stein who says having that license plate on the front of the vehicles is critical in many investigations like hit and runs and Amber Alerts.
