Two Injured in Crashes Involving Semis By charguth May 7, 2021 10:48 am clipart.com Spencer, IA (KICD)– Two people were injured in crashes involving semis this week. The first incident happened in Southern Minnesota Thursday morning when a 60-year-old Phillip Potter of Worthington was westbound on Interstate 90 near Welcome when, for an unknown reason, his pickup crossed the median, entered the eastbound lanes and collided head on with a semi. Both drivers were taken to Mayo Clinic Health System Fairmont with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The second crash was reported Friday morning about three miles northwest of Everly on 120th Avenue. In investigation revealed two vehicles met each other on a gravel road which led to a semi’s tires dropping off the shoulder eventually sliding into the ditch and rolling.
