DUNFERMLINE'S roads are "in a terrible state" and there are hopes that more money will be found to fix them. Planned improvement works in the town costing £230,000 were expected to get the nod on Tuesday but councillors agreed to hold off to see if extra cash becomes available. The convener of the City of Dunfermline area committee, Helen Law, said: "I’d be grateful if we could agree to defer this so we can get more information and hopefully get more budget and do more projects. “Without question, the roads are in a terrible state and I’ll certainly be looking for more money for roads when the council sets its budget.”
