2 airlifted to hospitals after Herkimer crash, police say Updated Mar 09, 2021; Herkimer, N.Y. -- Two people were airlifted to separate hospitals after a crash in the village of Herkimer on Thursday, according to New York State Police. At 7:30 p.m., police stopped a 2003 Nissan Altima being driven by 26-year-old Dakota L. Mander on West Smith Street in the village for a loud exhaust, police said. As a trooper approached the car, the driver drove the car from the stop and hit a 2014 Jeep Patriot being driven by 63-year-old Felicia A. Mosher, according to police. Mander was airlifted too Albany Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries while Mosher was airlfited to Upstate University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
