On Tuesday, Denver District Attorney Beth McCann announced murder charges against Elias Emilo Chavez, 22, and Tlaloc Raul Chavez, 22. On April 1 around 4 p.m., Denver police responded to a 911 call about a shooting involving a tan SUV at a bus stop near the intersection of Federal Boulevard and Alameda Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two people â later identified as Tafoya and Lara â who had been shot. They were transported to the Denver Health Medical Center, where they died.
