2 IBM inventors in Triangle contribute 128 patents to Big Blue's US-leading total


RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Two IBM inventors in the Triangle helped in a big way with personal contributions to Big Blue’s 28th consecutive year of US patent leadership.
Martin Keen was the “most prolific inventor” among North Carolina patent winners with 92, according to IBM.
And Corville Allen added 36. He was the leading Black inventor in NC, IBM pointed out.
Keen now has contributed to 255 patents and is recognized as an IBM Master Inventor. His total soared from 73 patents in 2019.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Keen’s patents have come in “areas such as big data, cognitive systems, mobile devices, and predictive analytics.” He’s also a technical content creator Leader including development of dozens of published books and videographer and video production lead specializing in corporate video creation and online learning course development. He lives in Cary.
