Harvesting Agulhas current could power a million homes

If its immense energy can be harvested, the powerful Agulhas ocean current off the coast of East London has the potential to power up to a million homes. Prof Edson Meyer, director of the University of Fort Hare’s Institute of Technology, told the Dispatch the city’s coastline was home to a vast resource of potential renewable ocean energy which should be harvested.
