Peter Harness' adaptation of H.G. Wells' classic sci-fi novel hit the small screen on BBC One in 2019. For five weeks the production team behind the sci-fi spectacular ‘invaded’ the village which provided the backdrop for some dramatic alien attack scenes in the three-part adaptation.
