Panaji: On Sunday, a 50-year-old resident of Varkhand, Pernem, was allegedly killed in a wild boar attack in a forest area. Pernem PI Jivba Dalvi said Ankush Parab was brought dead on Sunday morning to Redkar Hospital in Dhargal. After receiving the information, police arrived at the hospital for investigations. Dalvi said that Parab and his brother had gone into a forest area in Varkhand around 9am to graze their cattle. “Suddenly, he was attacked by a wild boar. This caused a deep cut and bleeding injuries to his right leg hamstring and left hand bicep region. After the postmortem was conducted, his body was handed over to his relatives,” Dalvi said.
