6-8 Indonesian prospect joins NBA Global Academy : vimarsana.com

Derrick Michael Xzavierro has made history as the first prospect from Indonesia to join the NBA Global Academy, an elite basketball training program located in Canberra, Australia.
"I'm extremely excited to join NBA Global Academy to learn from the coaches and train alongside some of the best high school-age basketball players in the world," expressed the 18-year-old who participated in Indonesia's 2017 Jr. NBA camp.
"This is a great opportunity for me to continue my development and take the next step in becoming a better player and leader," continued his statement.
In a FIBA report from March 2020, former Smart Gilas head coach and current Indonesian men's basketball mentor Rajko Toroman dubbed the 6-foot-8 Xzavierro "the future of Indonesia basketball."
