Event supported by Worthington Active Living Committee Written By: The Globe | × Bike helmet WORTHINGTON — The Worthington Active Living Committee is encouraging people to participate in National Bike to Work Week, which begins Monday and continues through May 23. Individuals are encouraged to ride their bicycles to work, or elsewhere if they work at home, throughout the week. It’s about getting people to become active and get outside, committee member Claire Henning explained. Additionally, Bike to Work Day is scheduled for Friday. Both the week and day observations are marked throughout the United States, and the Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota is one of the sponsors. People are encouraged to post cycling-related photos on social media with the tag #bikeday.
