Farmers, ranchers and commodity group legislative affairs representatives make sure the issues that affect the industry are heard at the Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City. This year’s session had its shares of wins, but also a few losses. Commodity groups agree that eminent domain protection was the one that got away. But for many of Missouri’s commodity organizations and farmer associations, there are key people who go to battle during the legislative session to safeguard and promote the industry. They are those in legislative affairs.
