A list of BC highways currently affected by wildfires Like many of the fires roaring around the province, British Columbia’s wildfire situation as a whole remains out of control. With resources stretched thin and Mother Nature not helping the cause, the provincial government declared a state of emergency on Tuesday. The early wildfire season has forced a number of evacuations throughout BC, as well as plenty of highway closures that are affecting travel.
