KUALA LUMPUR: The police force will step up its in-service training to keep officers up-to-date on dealing with current issues, besides having town hall sessions to engage with local communities. This is part of the wide-ranging measures to strengthen the integrity and work culture within the police force, said new Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani. “We want to service the public, not burden it, ” said Acryl Sani, who emphasised courteous service to the people. He said in-service training would be held at least once a week for about two hours. “Classes will explain the latest issues so our officers and personnel are up to date with current activity.
