A new era for the police force

KUALA LUMPUR: The police force will step up its in-service training to keep officers up-to-date on dealing with current issues, besides having town hall sessions to engage with local communities.
This is part of the wide-ranging measures to strengthen the integrity and work culture within the police force, said new Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
“We want to service the public, not burden it, ” said Acryl Sani, who emphasised courteous service to the people.
He said in-service training would be held at least once a week for about two hours.
“Classes will explain the latest issues so our officers and personnel are up to date with current activity. ....

KUALA LUMPUR: Improving the level of integrity within the police force is one of the top priorities for new Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
All elements of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), including state contingents, have been instructed to step up in-service training at least once a week for about two hours, he said.
The classes will explain the latest topics and issues so that our officers and personnel are up to date with current happenings.
Sometimes certain officers or personnel hesitate when they are confronted with a situation. This is not good as it will tarnish public confidence in the police. ....
