Between initial technical glitches and limited supply to winter weather that derailed hundreds of potential slots, finding an open availability has demanded a concerted effort. A Staten Island-based vaccination texting service that alerts borough residents when a large tranche of appointment slots open up on the Island has been making that search a little easier.
