Finding a gaming monitor that ticks every box on your wish list is tough, but that's what Acer's Predator X27 sets out to do. This is an in-plane switching (IPS) panel with a 4K resolution, support for both high dynamic range (HDR) and Nvidia's screen tear-eliminating G-Sync tech, and a 120Hz refresh rate that can be overclocked to 144Hz. It boasts a razor-sharp image with beautifully accurate colors, and it pushes peak brightness to 1,000 nits for HDR content. For gaming, the Acer Predator X27 is a dream. But, that dream comes with a hefty $1,999.99 price tag, and you need a seriously powerful rig to realize this monitor's full potential. When it was first released a couple of years ago, the X27 had little competition, but the 4K field has grown significantly since then, and ultrawide monitors, promising immersive gaming and easy multitasking, have taken off in a big way.
