Active cases increase by 40 over the weekend, reaching 107

Teton County has hit an inauspicious milestone for the first time in a while. Local active cases climbed above 100 over the weekend, with 40 new cases bringing the total to 107.
The Wyoming Department of Health reported the weekend increase Monday, although cases in Teton County and the state as a whole remain far below the worst of the fall spike. In the past 10 days the decline in local cases reversed itself, starting a slow climb.
The small spike comes as restrictions across the state are being eased, though local officials have kept the county mask mandate in place at least through April 16. Around the state, however, restrictions on businesses have been lifted for the most part, and the broader mask order instated by Gov. Mark Gordon has also been eliminated.
