Another 41 patients suspect COVID-19 and await their test results, and 460 patients in all are on respirators. While the Alternate Care Facility at State Fair Park in West Allis remains unoccupied, there are 3 patients receiving daily Bamlanivimab infusion therapy there. The therapy infuses man-made antibodies that may help limit the amount of the coronavirus in the body, giving one’s own body time to develop the ability to produce its own antibodies in sufficient amounts to successfully fight the virus.
