Provided by Dow Jones By Kimberly Chin International stocks trading in New York closed higher on Wednesday. The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts rose 0.1% to 169.29. The European index ticked up 0.1% to 143.45. The Asian index was flat at 237.49. The Latin American index increased 1.4% to 219.08. And the emerging-markets index rose 0.3% to 410.25. Galapagos NV's ADRs fell 1.8% after the company reported topline results for three of its GLPG3970 studies that showed that its product candidate supports the role of SIK inhibition in inflammation. The three trials found GLPG3970 was mostly safe and well tolerated and there weren't serious adverse events in patients, the company said.
