AL Cops Praised for Saving Two Lives in Two Days: 'We Are So Grateful'

Two police officers in Athens, Alabama, are being called hometown heroes for recently saving two lives in two days during roadside emergencies.
“Back on February 26th, two officers, Officer Mac McWhorter and Officer William Newton, responded to a call about an unresponsive man,” WAFF reported Saturday.
When the officers arrived, they performed CPR until additional help came, the City of Athens said in a Facebook post:

“After medical help responded, the officers found out the man and his wife were traveling on the interstate when he started having chest pains and passed out,” the post read, adding he was talking when flown from the scene.
